Principal’s Message

Government Mohindra College, Patiala is a premier institute of the Northern India. Accredited with A+ grade by NAAC, UGC, the college has the rare distinction of being chosen as “The College with Potential for Excellence” by UGC and also the “Star College in Life Sciences” by the department of Bio-Technology, Govt. of India. Over 140 years, the college has evolved into a brand in the field of imparting quality education to the masses in general and to inhabitants of the state in particular. Having a strong legacy of achievements over the years, the institute could boast of holistic grooming of the learner by remaining abreast with modern technological developments. It has to its credit a very large number of alumni who have served and are serving the nation as academicians, jurists, sportspersons and professionals like eminent doctors, engineers, journalists and bureaucrats. Recently it got the status of “Community College” by the MHRD, Government of India.

The college has a big team of highly qualified teaching faculty, providing quality education and academic support to the students. This team is called “Team Mohindra”. The college has about 150+ teaching faculty members under different categories like Regular, Contractual and Guest Faculty. The college administration is supported by a large team of Non-Teaching staff as well as the technical support staff.

The college had on its rolls about 6500+ students during 2014-15 session. This large number of girls and boys students are the assets of college who bring laurels to the college with academic, sports and other distinctions. The college makes all out efforts to support the students to grow their potential, capacities and personality and to be good citizens and employable professionals in the job market.
