  • Joined NCC Naval Wing as Care taker officer in 2015.
  • Commissioned as Sub Lieutenant in Oct’ 2018.
  • Presently, working as ANO of NCC Naval wing in college.

NCC NAVAL WING, a part of tri services organization comprising of navy, army and air force engaged in grooming youth into disciplined and useful citizens. Overall aim of NCC at national level and NCC NAVAL at college level are same.

Objectives

  • Developing character, comradeship and ideals of selfless service among young
  • Creating pool of organised, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in every walk of life.
  • Providing conducive environment to  motivate young Indians to join armed forces

Vision & Mission

  • Empower Volunteer youth to become potential leaders and responsible citizens of the country.

NCC AIR WING

Introduction:

  • National Cadet Corps is the largest uniformed youth organization in the world, now has 13 lakh cadets on its rolls.
  • Air Wing, is open to any regular student of the college, who volunteers for it, subject to physical and medical standards as prescribed in
  • Both boys and girls are enrolled in Senior Division and Senior Wing.
  • A total of 50 vacancies are allotted to the college, out of which every year, 17 students are enrolled as Cadets

Activities of the NCC AIR WING

1 Cadet Aakash led the marching contingent of 3 Pb Air Sqn NCC, Patiala on the occasion of State level Republic Day function at YPS stadium on 26th January 2018.
2 Air wing cadets participated in the Green Mohindra initiative, planted Maulsary saplings in campus, took oath to plant at least 2 saplings in their neighborhood, and pledged to care for at least 2 years.
3. Cadets helped the college authorities in raising Rs 31,400 as a donation towards the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund from the students and faculty of Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala.
4. Cadets participated in Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, a PM initiative, carried out a Cleanliness drive on campus, and undertook an awareness Campaign through slogans and Pamphlets.
5. Cadets participated in the Anti-Begging Campaign organized by NGO “Har Hath Kalam” in Patiala City on 11th January 2018.
6. Air wing cadets participated in Drug Abuse Awareness Rally organized by 3 Pb Air Sqn NCC, Patiala on 27th July 2018.
7 Cadet Jaspal Singh led the marching contingent of 3 Pb Air Sqn NCC, Patiala on the occasion of lndependence Day Parade function at YPS stadium on 15th August 2018.
8 Maj. Gen. R S Mann, VSM ADG, PHHP & Chd Dte, visited the college campus and interacted with NCC cadets.
9. Cadets donated blood in Blood donation camp jointly organized by Red Ribbon Club, NSS, NCC on 05th October 2018.
10 Cadets helped the college authorities in raising Rs 29,000 as donation towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, on 7th Dec. 2020, from the students and faculty of Govt. Mohindra College, Patiala.
11 Cadets helped the college authorities in raising Rs 15,000 as donation towards Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, on 7th Dec. 2020.
12 Cadet Aditi Rawat won English Debate on the Topic “Corruption in India is self-imposed” speaking in favor during “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” NIC, 25th Jan to 30th Jan. 2021.
13 20 cadets participated in a lecture organized by the Employment department on “Armed Forces Recruitment Opportunities” on 3rd February 2021.
14 Cadets helped the College administration in implementation the orders of the Secretary Higher Education ensuring 100% wearing of Masks and use of Sanitizers by all teachers and students in classrooms and on campus.
15 6 cadets donated blood in the Blood Donation Camp organized by 3 PB Air Sqn NCC unit, on 16th April 2021.
16 ANO and Cadets celebrated IYD (International Yoga Day) “Yoga for Wellness” on 21st June 2021.
17 14 Cadets participated in PEER SUPPORT and DRUG PREVENTION on International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 26th June 2021 through Buddy Programme of the College.
18 14 cadets participated in “No use of Plastics” paintings and photos on 30th June, 2021.
19  Air wing Cadets volunteered for Covid Vaccination Camp organized in College Campus on 3rd July, 2021, 7th Aug. 2021 and 14 Oct. 2021.
20 Cadet Himanshu and Cadet Manish Kumar donated blood during a blood donation camp organized on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas at Young Farmers School Nanoki, on 27th July 2021.

 

21 Cadets participated as volunteers in the 7th State-level Mega Job Fair organized in the College Campus by Govt. of Punjab on 17th Sept. 2021.

 

22 Gp Capt. Rajesh Sharma, the CO, No. 3, Air Sqn NCC, Patiala delivered a lecture on “Career Opportunities in Defence Forces”, and planted a sapling in the college campus, on 25th Oct. 2021. He also flagged an Awareness rally regarding the “ill-effects of Stubble Burning”, in which 45 cadets from the NCC Air Wing participated.
23 9th Nov. 2021, the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme as part of Govt. of India initiative Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Legal Awareness Camp by District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, NCC cadets performed escort duty and volunteering during the event.
24 22 Cadets participated in Republic Day Parade at Polo Grounds, on 26th Jan. 2022, Contingent Commander Cadet Sourav led the marching contingent of No. 3 Air Sqn NCC Patiala on the occasion.
25 35 Cadets attended an online course on 7th February 2022 on “Sensitization and Training of Poll Volunteers for facilitation of PwD” (People with Disability) as per instructions from SEC (State Election Commission) and DHE (Department. Of Higher Education, Punjab).
26 7 Cadets participated in the Para-Sailing adventure activity from 22-25 March 2022 at NCC Hanger, Aviation Club, Patiala.
27 34 Cadets participated in Annual Athletics Meet of college in March Past and Piloting Duty for Chief Guest on 30th and 31st March 2022.
28 Following the directions of State Government, as part of a tribute to legendary freedom fighter Sardar Bhagat Singh, a Cycle Rally was organized on 28th Sept. 2022 from the college campus to Phowara Chowk and back. 12 Cadets and ANO participated in the cycle rally.
